Following Noam’s participation on the panel, Is Debt the New Equity?, the three discussed the importance of not only looking at what assets to invest in, but also how those assets are financed. Collateral requirements from prime brokers, counterparty risks, co-investor risks and how valuations are calculated for distressed debt and other credit instruments are very different from either equity long short investments or currency absolute return investing.
